Cron done right: environment, logs and what silently fails

Cron runs with PATH=/usr/bin:/bin, SHELL=/bin/sh and from $HOME, without loading .bashrc. Three lines in the crontab (PATH, MAILTO="", redirect) plus a wrapper with flock fix what fails silently.
